Guestbook for Christopher C. McDonough Showing 1 - 25 of 49 entries.

Dearest Winnie, Kathleen, and all the McDonough's.
I cannot begin to express my sadness over the loss of such a selfless human being. I too claim him as my Criddy McDiddy since I met him at his first appt for treatment of his cancer.Over the years, we became dear to each other as caretaker and patient, who were as easy with each other as old friends, good neighbors, etc.I admired his full grasp of life.He felt that as long as he was alive and felt well enough to do something he would do it.He loved his family forever.I still have some of his phone messages to my voicemail saved, and each time I hear them, i can picture and feel his smile, and then I smile. He was just "good people".He may be gone, but will never be forgotten. Please remember "though storm clouds may gather, and rain may come; still through it all shines the sun." Criddy would want you to see the sun. Cherish the memories. A great big hug for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Lo.

Dear Winnie, John and your entire family......I was so very sorry to hear of the death of Chris. I was shocked when I heard about it.

I remember well lacrosse with Biff and with you John and seeing your dad and mother there with us to support our kids.....Biff lost his dad almost 2 years ago and I can tell you both, we miss him everyday as will you two and the rest of your family. They were such good men.

I am sorry too that I was unable to be at the funeral for Chris or the viewing as I had company from England...really no excuse but we were never home....

Please know that I am thinking about you....and when you think about your dad and husband....do so with a smile and great respect.....with love and fond memories.....Pattie, Biff and Patrick Friend

Dear Winnie,

I am so sorry for your loss. It's been years since I've seen you -- but I can picture you walking across the grass of your house on Pine Bank Road like it was this morning. Hope you are well and I hope some day we get a chance see one another again and catch up. All us Hurleys are getting together this Saturday and Sunday at Bob's house on Amrita Island to commerate the 25th anniversary of our father's death. Bill (aka "Duke")forwarded me the notice of your husband's passing. Love to you!

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I first met Chris when he came to my husband's funeral twenty-five years ago (your cousin, Joe McDonough) and again at a party in New Jersey for Aunt Rosemary. He was such a genuinely nice person, and I regret that I didn't get to know him and all of you better. You all have my deepest sympathy, and I know your memories will keep him alive in your hearts. God's peace and love.

Dear John and family,
I am so sorry to hear the news. I just got off the phone with my brother and we were just talking about all of our memories of your dad and family. I am so sorry about your loss. He will always be remembered by us as that dad who was always smiling and cracking jokes! I am glad to have had the pleasure of knowing him...

Dear Mrs. McDonough and Family. I only knew your husband and father for a few months while we worked together at First Choice Bank, we sat next to eachother. Though in those few months i got to know a wonderful, caring, and charming man. Chris would tell me stories about working in NYC in the mens suit store as a kid, he would talk about his love for airplanes, and he always had a good joke if i needed one. One of the last weeks Chris was at work he asked me if i knew where the closest IHOP was because he had a craving for French Toast. I actually joined him for breakfast that day. Not only did he treat me to breakfast but he didnt even let me leave the tip. Despite what he was going thru Chris always had a smile on his face in the office and had such a positive attitude. I am truly sorry for you loss.

Our heartfelt sympathy for the familys loss of their father/grandfather, husband, and best friend.. Chris always had a happy go lucky way about him and a boyish gleem and charm about him, always reminding those around him, that its not so bad.... A rare quality indeed to be honest and upbeat in todays world. The world could use more wise optimists, more Chris McDonoughs. He will be missed.

Dear Tim:

Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your brother, Criddy, and convey them to your sister and the rest of your family. I wish I could be there to wake him real proper-like, but I'll hoist a prayer and a glass to him on this end, to be sure.
