She received her Bachelor's degree from College of St. Elizabeth and her Master's degree in Higher Education and Nutrition from New York University. Margaret was a registered dietitian for US Dept of Health & Human Services in New York City for 17 years retiring in 1991.

She was the beloved sister of Henry F Schuelke III and his wife Julie, Mary Beth Ciccone and the late Kathleen S. Sari. Loving aunt of Virginia Neyens (Mark), Henry F. Schuelke IV (Wight), Paul Sari (Kate), Lynn Hildreth (Brad), Scott Sari, Jonathan Maloney (Kellen). Also survived by 12 great nieces and nephews.

Margi loved her family and wonderful group of longtime friends, her hometown of Maplewood and the College of St. Elizabeth, affectionately known as St. E's, where she spent a good deal of time volunteering with the Alumnae Association, and was awarded Alumna of the Year in 2013. Dear to her heart, as well, were the many friends she had reconnected with in planning her 50th reunion from Our Lady of the Valley High School, from which she graduated in 1959.
