Carol E. Grosso (nee Frank), 85, of Millburn died March 4, 2010, in Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills, on Tuesday, March 9, at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Millburn. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Born in Newark, Mrs. Grosso lived in Millburn for 57 years. She was a secretary with JCP&L in Morristown for many years before retiring. Mrs. Grosso was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Short Hills and a volunteer at the Papermill Playhouse in Millburn and New Eyes for the Needy in Short Hills. Mrs. Grosso was appointed by Gov. Thomas Kean to be a volunteer advocate for residents of nursing homes. She was a vice president of the Mountainside chapter of Widows and Widowers.
She was the beloved wife of the late James R. Grosso; devoted mother of David J. and Jeanine M. Grosso; loving sister of the late Edward S. and John Stuart Frank and dear aunt of Edward Frank. She is also survived by Jessie, her beloved puppy.
